11 Nov 2009 12:14 David Marseilles Where are the Modern Warfare Reflex Reviews? In IGN's hands-on with Modern Warfare Reflex, they mentioned they received no review copy. That's pretty weird if you ask me. Over the past couple of weeks, I've been amazed at how little information, how few images and how little footage there was of the game. At first blush, there seems to be a reason for withholding it from review: Treyarch got sloppy.
In regards to the online mode:
Was there a big rush to get Modern Warfare Reflex out the door TWO YEARS after PS360 version so much that they couldn't attend to the SINGLE most important element of a Wii FPS: control? Of course not, but there appears to have been a rush to capitalize on Christmas sales and the Modern Warfare moniker. It's a frakking shame too. Modern Warfare and Wii fans deserve better. We've certainly waited long enough to expect better.

Where are the Modern Warfare Reflex Reviews?
A frakking shame? Now that I've watched it, I can recognise a Battlestar Galactica reference when I see one ;-)

Hmmm. I'm not sure if a double k is correct usage or not. Maybe I should have written "fraking" shame.
Well, the way I automatically seem to pronounce those words as soon as I see them is like this:
I'm not an expert at the English language or anything, and neither is that a proper English word ;-) But I'd say the way you have it with two k's is correct.

Frak! It's april already. Thanks for the reminder. =) I'm not sure if I have it set to record yet or not. It just seemed so far away back when you posted the date that I wasn't even watching the calendar.
Haha. Well, when it comes to Stargate I'll always be watching the calendar — but I agree, time has gone fast. Lets continue this over on http://sgu.wikidot.com … I'm thinking about redesigning that so there aren't so many empty pages / threads lying around.
An on-topic question for you: I assume you have a Nintendo DS and a Wii yourself. Do you have any other consoles, or use your PC for gaming? In particular, do you have Modern Warfare 2 on any of those consoles?
I have the game on my Xbox 360 and before semester began, was playing it online almost 6 times a week. Holding off while I'm at university though.

I've been a PC gamer for more than a decade. Last console I owned before Wii was an NES. It's a much more cost effective way to game if you ask me. I tend not to buy PC games (especially single player titles) at launch, but get them a few months later at half price, or a few years later for pennies. Of course, they have little if any resell value, unlike console games.
I haven't gotten around to getting Modern Warfare 2 yet. Nor have I really decided to. Modern Warfare was the game I really wanted, though as with all good online shooters, getting it years after everyone else is not a good recipe for happiness.
I'll be back at the site shortly, but I still haven't watched the episode, so I don't want to see any spoilers before I finally get to it.
I wasn't sure if you had seen the episode yet, so that's why I haven't posted anything on the SGU site yet. To prevent you getting a spoiler as an email notification :)
