Moon Shots (DS)

Yes, Call of Duty: World at War is coming to DS. Yes, Quantum of Solace is coming to DS. But the DS shooter WiiHD is most eager to see is Moon. From the makers of Dementium, another original DS shooter, this bad boy has all the makings of a dark and cool portable shooter experience.

Moon (DS) Weapons and Environments

The Official Moon Website has achieved liftoff. You've already seen the screenshots and the videos, but the website also offers a list of weapons, vehicles, and environments along with a brief description. This list functions as a nice preview of the depth of the game.

Weapons List:

Guns
- SAR - A high impact energy weapon.
- Lepton Spread - A neutron shotgun.
- Oxid Cannon - A short range, portable nuclear cannon. Yes, nuclear.
- Seeker Pod - A gravity weapon prototype for clearing room prior to entering, not for close range.
- Fermion Sniper - A laser based sniper rifle.
- Quanta Rifle - fires highly corrosive (affects metals and organics) ionic projectiles
- Muon Pistol - Handgun with more range and precision than normal.
Vehicles List:
- Remote Access Droid - a robot that established a direct neural link and leaves you vulnerable to attack while you manipulate it. Think about the spider droids in Bond: Everything or Nothing or the Ninja kitties in Tenchu 4.
- LOLA RR10 - Low-Gravity Land-based Recon and Repulse Vehicle is equipped with a powerful laser turret. You'll be driving this from the cockpit, not a neural interface.

There's More Than One Dark Side of the Moon (DS)

With Civilization Revolution out of the way, Moon is quickly becoming WiiHD's most anticipated DS title. Eerie, moody, suspenseful and brimming with action, it has elements more closely associated with Microsoft's gaming division than Nintendo's. One of the advantages to being on top, as the DS is in the portable wars, is getting a little bit of everything.

The point of this post is to let you get a gander at the new Moon trailer. It isn't big, but it doesn't really need to be. It's after the break (would that WiiHD's plumber would keep his moon after the break too), so see for yourself.

IGN Gets Their Hands on the Moon

Apparently it's all DS day here at WiiHD. IGN has a nice preview of a cut-scene heavy, single-player focused action event known as Moon. It features unlockable rewards for playing in the higher difficulty setting and it comes out this fall.
