Moon (DS) Weapons and Environments

The Official Moon Website has achieved liftoff. You've already seen the screenshots and the videos, but the website also offers a list of weapons, vehicles, and environments along with a brief description. This list functions as a nice preview of the depth of the game.

Weapons List:

Guns
- SAR - A high impact energy weapon.
- Lepton Spread - A neutron shotgun.
- Oxid Cannon - A short range, portable nuclear cannon. Yes, nuclear.
- Seeker Pod - A gravity weapon prototype for clearing room prior to entering, not for close range.
- Fermion Sniper - A laser based sniper rifle.
- Quanta Rifle - fires highly corrosive (affects metals and organics) ionic projectiles
- Muon Pistol - Handgun with more range and precision than normal.
Vehicles List:
- Remote Access Droid - a robot that established a direct neural link and leaves you vulnerable to attack while you manipulate it. Think about the spider droids in Bond: Everything or Nothing or the Ninja kitties in Tenchu 4.
- LOLA RR10 - Low-Gravity Land-based Recon and Repulse Vehicle is equipped with a powerful laser turret. You'll be driving this from the cockpit, not a neural interface.

Mass Effect DS

BioWare's Miles Holmes prompted some DS speculation over the weekend when he talked about Sonic Chronicles, his upcoming DS RPG to eurogamer.de.

"We have a lot of big plans for Mass Effect. Having a DS version would be an awesome way to keep interest alive and keep it going in addition to the next one [Mass Effect 2]," said Holmes.

Also mentioned as possible DS titles were Jade Empire and Dragon Age. Kotaku suggests that Sonic Chronicles is a way for Bioware to test the water before putting their own IP on the DS.

Mass Effect was a huge game for the 360, and it's hard to imagine it not being a welcome addition to the DS library. Bioware has a knack for high quality, so let's hope Sonic Chronicles turns out to be a successful test.

Mr. Ford Can Jump

One of the things WiiHD was surprised to learn when we picked up MoHH2 for the first time was that, apparently, mankind had not learned to jump in WWII. We searched in vain for the jump button, and then, after making sure no one was watching, we even opened the game manual (0.o) to double-check. Fortunately, according to a new interview by WiiNside, mankind has learned to jump by the time The Conduit takes place. There's also some odd (inconclusive) conversation about whether the ASE would be included in multiplayer.
